The Edinburgh Geologist is a magazine aimed at amateur geologists and other non-specialists and is currently published twice a year. It combines articles on Scottish geology or having a Scottish flavour together with poetry, entertainment and other ephemera. The first issue was published in Spring
1977 under the Editorship of Helena Butler. In the following twenty-nine years
there were 45 issues and 8 Editors up to Vol 45, in Autumn 2005. After a break,
the Edinburgh Geologist was revived as an annual publication with Vol 46 published
in late 2009. Click on the issue number to see a list of contents - many articles are available online, and are linked from the contents page.
The more recent back numbers (from Issue 29 to 45) are available for purchase from the Publication Sales Officer - see the main Publications Sales page for contact details, etc. For all orders for more than 2 issues, please pay on receipt of goods (cheques payable to Edinburgh Geological Society).
Please note that issues 29 and 44 can now only be purchased as part of the set (17 issues for £3.00). >> top of page | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
