2 sets of back numbers of the Scottish Journal of Geology (Set A and Set B) are available in our Clearance Sale. One volume of the journal comprises 2 issues or parts and is produced annually. The journal is printed on heavy chalk paper and this is reflected in the P&P costs.
Clearance sale – Set A Issues 94-118 (Volume 28/1 to 40/1) covering 1992 - early 2004.
These back numbers are now available at £0.50 per issue, or £1.00 per volume. The complete run of 25 issues can be purchased for the reduced price of £9.00.
Clearance sale –Set B Issues 119-123 (Volume 40/2 to 42/2) covering late 2004-2006.
These back numbers are now available at £1.00 per issue, or £2.00 per volume. The complete run of 5 issues can be purchased for the reduced price of £3.00.
Postage and packing costs
Within the UK P&P is £1.70 for 1 issue or £2.30 for 2 issues.
Within the UK, P&P for Set A (complete, 25 issues) is £13.60. Set B (complete, 5 issues) would be sent via the cheapest method, currently as 2 separate parcels with a combined P&P total of £5.60. For customers wishing to purchase both sets A and B, total P&P would be £15.70.

A (complete) = £9.00 + £13.60 P&P = £22.60.
Set B (complete) = £3.00 + £5.60
P&P = £8.60.
Combined sets A & B = £9 + £3 + £15.70 = £27.70.

For purchase of more than two issues (except for purchase of complete sets) please pay on receipt of invoice, which will be enclosed with your order. This type of order will be sent via the cheapest method, but as a guideline, P&P on two volumes is £5.40, on 3-5 volumes £9.50, and on 6-8 volumes £10.50. Orders are also welcome from trade customers, schools, colleges, universities and other interested organisations. Overseas orders are dispatched by Airmail at Printed Paper rate at the Europe or Rest of World tariff, as appropriate, unless Surface Mail is specifically requested. For overseas orders, please pay by cheque in Pounds Sterling or by bank credit transfer (details will be provided on the invoice). For overseas customers, P&P is approximately £3.30 (Europe) and £5.70 (Rest of World) for 1 issue; £5.45 (Europe) and £10.25 (Rest of World) for 2 issues. Please pay on receipt of goods, as individual issues vary in weight.
